A swimmer-led guide to recognizing and preventing overuse injuries in competitive swimming
Swimming is a low-impact sport, but the repetitive motions and high training volumes can place significant strain on the body. Over time, poor technique, overuse, or inadequate recovery can lead to injuries that affect performance and long-term health. I’m a competitive swimmer who has experienced multiple overuse injuries and built this site to share what I wish I had known sooner. This site explores common swimming-related injuries, how they develop, and practical ways swimmers can reduce their risk. Â
What you will find on this website:
Shoulder, hip, and overuse injuries seen in competitive swimmers.
Technique tips, training balance, and recovery strategies.
Insights grounded in real training experiences.Â
